About Algiz:
Algiz is the rune of protection, guardianship, and spiritual defense. Often associated with the image of outstretched arms or the antlers of an elk, it represents a connection between the earthly and the divine, and the act of standing watch over what is sacred or vulnerable. Algiz is traditionally seen as a symbol of safety, shielding, and inner strength, as well as an invitation to trust your intuition and higher guidance. It is a rune of boundaries, resilience, and quiet but steady protection.
About the Elder Futhark Runes:
The Elder Futhark is the oldest known runic alphabet, used by Germanic and Norse cultures from roughly the 2nd to the 8th century. It consists of 24 runes, each carrying both a phonetic sound and a symbolic meaning. Beyond their use as an alphabet, these runes were also seen as powerful symbols connected to nature, fate, and the deeper forces of life. Today, they are often used for meditation, reflection, and as meaningful talismans, each rune offering its own distinct energy and story.

This charm features the Algiz rune from the Elder Futhark, an ancient Norse symbol representing protection, strength, and connection to higher spiritual forces.
This rustic, twig-like piece is crafted from pure fine silver, with a raw, organic form inspired by the rune’s shape. The Algiz rune is one of protection and strength and is associated with ancient Germanic tribes, including the Vikings. This symbol holds a great deal of personal meaning for me—the shape and raw lines always remind me of tree branches reaching upward.
The charm is strung on a 2mm sterling silver ball chain with a connector end.

Rune post earrings in a new larger size. Choose any of the 24 Elder Futhark runes, finished with a spiral accent, a dot accent, or on their own with no accent.
Each earring is crafted from recycled pure fine silver, hammered into an organic nugget shape, then hand stamped with your chosen rune. Sterling silver posts are securely soldered to the backs, and medium weight post nuts are included.
Runes have been interpreted far and wide, and are used by many today for their symbolism and deep, archetypal significance.
Price is for one earring. This lets you choose two different runes for a pair, or the same rune twice for a matching set. Please add your rune and accent choices to the notes at checkout.

Each charm is handcrafted from recycled .999 pure fine silver, shaped into an organic nugget and hand stamped with your chosen rune. An antique patina finish deepens the detail and adds character to the surface. If you prefer a polished, shiny finish instead, just leave a note at checkout.
Cord and Chain Options:
The charm option arrives with a fine silver closed ring (or jump ring upon request) ready to string on a chain of your choice. The black rubber cord option includes a vegan leather style cord with sterling silver ends and a lobster clasp closure. All necklaces are 18 inches. Please message me for other sizes. Because each charm is shaped by hand and measured by weight, no two will be exactly alike in shape or size. That natural variation is part of the handmade process and makes every piece genuinely one of a kind.
