Small but meaningful studs, hand-stamped with runic symbols from the Elder Futhark—the oldest known runic alphabet used by Germanic and Norse peoples from around the 2nd to 8th centuries. Each rune carries its own distinct meaning: strength, protection, love, journey, transformation. Choose the rune that speaks to you.
Each earring begins as recycled pure fine silver, torch melted and hand-forged into an organic nugget, then hand-stamped with your chosen rune. Because the silver is shaped by hand and measured by weight, no two nuggets are perfectly round—some rounder, some more organic in shape. That variation is part of what makes each pair genuine.
The surface finishes with a matte brushed texture that deepens the contrast of the oxidized stamp, letting the image stand out with clarity. Posts are standard 20-gauge half-inch sterling silver; custom lengths available upon request.
Size: Approximately 6mm x 2mm (measured by weight; slight variations natural)
Materials: .999 pure fine silver, .925 sterling silver
Design: Hand-stamped Elder Futhark rune nugget studs
Posts: 20-gauge, half-inch sterling silver with included nuts
Finish: Matte brushed with oxidized stamp contrast (polished finish available)

Because these silver rune earrings are all handmade and hand-melted, they will not always be perfectly round. Some will be more of a "nugget" shape.
NOTE: Rune post earrings are sold individually to allow you to mix and match your runes. Please note that I require a minimum of two earrings (one set) to be purchased. Thank you!

What are the runes?
Runes come from a time when the world was still perceived as a magical place. And when people still felt a connection to it. Runes were inscribed onto helmets, swords, sacred objects and stones or fragments of wood as dedications of hope and desire, power, and healing.
For these earrings I use custom made steel jewelry stamps in Elder Futhark runes. The ancient and mystical runes of Northern Europe are potent symbols of inspiration.

These handcrafted rune charm necklaces are made to order in your choice of any Elder Futhark rune, hand stamped in pure recycled fine silver with my original dotted design motif that adds warmth and artisan character to every piece.
The charms shown as examples only. Please include your rune choice when placing your order. See the main shop page for other monogram charm options.
Each charm is handcrafted from recycled .999 pure fine silver, shaped into an organic nugget and hand stamped with your chosen rune. An antique patina finish deepens the detail and adds character to the surface. If you prefer a polished, shiny finish instead, just leave a note at checkout.
Cord and Chain Options:
The charm option arrives with a fine silver closed ring (or jump ring upon request) ready to string on a chain of your choice. The black rubber cord option includes a vegan leather style cord with sterling silver ends and a lobster clasp closure. All necklaces are 18 inches. Please message me for other sizes. Please note: The 2mm sterling silver bead chain is currently limited supply. See the Chain section for options.
Because each charm is shaped by hand and measured by weight, no two will be exactly alike in shape or size. That natural variation is part of the handmade process and makes every piece genuinely one of a kind.
This piece is entirely handmade. Designed and created by hand in my Art & Soul Jewelry studio.

About Algiz:
Algiz is the rune of protection, guardianship, and spiritual defense. Often associated with the image of outstretched arms or the antlers of an elk, it represents a connection between the earthly and the divine, and the act of standing watch over what is sacred or vulnerable. Algiz is traditionally seen as a symbol of safety, shielding, and inner strength, as well as an invitation to trust your intuition and higher guidance. It is a rune of boundaries, resilience, and quiet but steady protection.
About the Elder Futhark Runes:
The Elder Futhark is the oldest known runic alphabet, used by Germanic and Norse cultures from roughly the 2nd to the 8th century. It consists of 24 runes, each carrying both a phonetic sound and a symbolic meaning. Beyond their use as an alphabet, these runes were also seen as powerful symbols connected to nature, fate, and the deeper forces of life. Today, they are often used for meditation, reflection, and as meaningful talismans, each rune offering its own distinct energy and story.

This charm features the Algiz rune from the Elder Futhark, an ancient Norse symbol representing protection, strength, and connection to higher spiritual forces.
This rustic, twig-like piece is crafted from pure fine silver, with a raw, organic form inspired by the rune’s shape. The Algiz rune is one of protection and strength and is associated with ancient Germanic tribes, including the Vikings. This symbol holds a great deal of personal meaning for me—the shape and raw lines always remind me of tree branches reaching upward.
The charm is strung on a 2mm sterling silver ball chain with a connector end.
Size: Approximately 3 cm x 2.2 cm
Material: Fine silver
