Runes come from a time when the world was still perceived as a magical place. And when people still felt a connection to it. Runes were inscribed onto helmets, swords, sacred objects and stones or fragments of wood as dedications of hope and desire, power, and healing.
For these earrings I use custom made steel jewelry stamps in Elder Futhark runes. The ancient and mystical runes of Northern Europe are potent symbols of inspiration.

Created from bits of recycled pure silver. Torch heated till a molten ball forms. Then, hammered out flat and hand stamped with a small, rustic heart.

These handcrafted earrings feature sterling silver lotus charms at the center with a cut-out design. The lotus charms adorn pure silver hoop rings with a lightly hammered finish. Dangling below are a trio of Czech glass beaded charms that are wrapped with fine silver ball tipped headpins that were handcrafted for this design project. The silver hoops are joined to custom handcrafted .925 sterling silver ear wires with a green aquamarine gemstone.
