Kenaz Earrings Metal Dome Charm Rune Jewelry

I created this pair of earrings with a variety of metals. The disk charms are pure copper and brass. The top charm of copper, I hand stamped. The pattern is one from my runic alphabet. The rune Kenaz was used with a single dot pattern to accent.

This alphabet set comes from the ancient Vikings and is called the Elder Futhark runes. Each rune has it's own meaning and lore. This rune is said to represent "Vital fire of life, harnessed power, fire of transformation and regeneration. Power to create your own reality, the power of light."

I have paired this pure copper disk with a brass disk. I have oxidized and then hand polished the brass to give it an aged rustic appeal.

Both disks have been hammered and domed. They hang from a set of sterling silver rings. These rings hook into the sterling silver ear wires. The ear wires were designed and created by me. They have bronze wire wrapped accents to match the golden brass domes beautifully.
