This handmade beaded chain necklace features some of my most favorite beads. In honor of the summer solstice I wanted to create something celestial. The golden yellow ceramic beads (SUN) paired with rustic matte blue (WATER) are the perfect setting for this time when the sun is at it's zenith.
A beautiful Sun / Moon charm in sterling silver with a built in bail is the perfect focal for this piece.
Handcrafted ceramic stoneware beads line the length of the chain. Each one wrapped in sterling silver wire and joined to the next set. Created from white stoneware clay, each one is unique. I've used different patterns and textures to highlight the topaz colored glaze. Also included are a rustic blue matte glazed finish bead set.
Accentuated with the rustic look of Hill Tribe fine silver beads. These silver beads are handcrafted in Thailand by the Karen Hill Tribe people. The character and beauty of these special beads are unmatched in my opinion.
Beads include squashed melon, large tube beads with tiny sun and flower patterns, flat disk beads with printed edges, a solid silver faceted bead and one smaller tube bead with the eye print.
And finally you'll see some faceted smoky topaz crystal beads and some blue Kyanite gemstones that just happen to match the blue ceramic beads perfectly.
The clasp is a 13mm sterling silver lobster with a swivel base.
